Canninghill Square

Singapore’s three main developers already intend and revamp the promenade to make Canninghill Square a new icon. The plans are in line with the 2019 URA master plan to improve pace in the region. Due to its strategic situation with convenient access to facilities, the demand for Canninghill Square is projected to be strong.

By jointly publishing the Ascott residence trust (Ascott Reit) in a consortium which Canninghill Square is scheduled to establish in 2024, City Development (CDL) and CapitaLand reported.

The Development at Canning Hill Square Singapore will comprises of the hotel, business units and a serviced residence would be included. It can be linked to Fort Canning MRT directly. Site redevelopment is carried out since the selling of the property to CLD and CapitaLand by the CDL Hospitality Trusts (CDLHT) has taken a 50:50 proportion. Ascott Reit has already sold some of its land to CDL on the website.

Once Canninghill Square is finished, CDL-CapitaLand owns Commercial and residential elements, while the Ascott Reit developer is responsible for 192 units of serviced hotel residence. With a forward purchasing deal with CDL, CDLHT will own the hotel with 460 to 470 spaces. Marriott International, which operates like a Moxy, manages the property, and the serviced apartments are Somerset.

CDL, CapitaLand and Ascott Reit are three big weight developers behind Canninghill Square. CapitaLand and CDL share residential and industrial apartments at 50:5, while the hotel is under the jurisdiction of CDL, while Ascott Reit is allowed to manage the serviced apartment.

In the River Valley Road and in the vicinity of Clarke Quay, Canninghill Square is the forthcoming integrated plan. The land is situated in two residential buildings of nearly 700 apartments.
